Q. Who comes on your retreats?

Ans. Anybody, but the typical guests are aged 20's to 60's. Most people come on their own, although also many couples, friends, or brothers & sisters, or parent(s) and child(ren). 

 

Q. I'm looking at the schedule of one of your retreats and there is a lot there. What if I want to skip part of the schedule to do my own thing for a while?

Ans. That's fine.

 

Q. I'm a light sleeper. If I wake up at 1am what can I do and where can I go on the retreat.

Ans. You'll have access to the main building, dining room (to make a hot drink and take a snack), sitting room and library at any time.  

 

Q. I'm a Catholic. Is your retreat suitable for me?

Ans. Practically all guests that come on our retreats are from Ireland, Northern Ireland, England, Scotland, Wales, or other European or North American countries. So they come from the variety of cultural and faith backgrounds commonly found in these regions. Our retreats are open for anybody and everybody. Yes, when we talk about philosophy, we refer to the Vedic texts of ancient India, but the essential point is that spirituality is universal - not a restricted practise, but an open commodity.

 

Q. Is there a lady masseuse giving the massage therapies?

Ans. Our policy is that only women massage women and only men massage men.

 

Q. Can I smoke or drink alcohol?

Ans. In general, no. However see 'House Rules' in What to Expect for a more complete answer.

 

Q. Where will I leave my car?

Ans. There is a large car-park area at the ferry quay on the mainland across from Inis Rath. It is located within the 30-acre Community land adjacent to the island off the public road.

 

Q. Can we bring the kids?

Ans. Yes. Children are FREE. Teenagers (13-19) are half price. They can all join in as many activities as they are able or interested in.
